Do you come across lots of cool software you'd love to try—but not if it means shelling out $30 to $100 every time you want to take a new security tool or photo editing program for a spin?
Yes? Then check out "PC World's" "Best Free Stuff" feature, which highlights 101 free downloads, sites and organizing services.
I found a few I want to try:
CCleaner—rids PC's of old browser cache files, cookies and other "digital detritus."
Spybot Search & Destroy—rids PC's of spyware, the nasty software that sneakily gathers personal information through your Internet connection without your knowledge, usually for advertising purposes.
Ta-Da List—A Web-based to-do list manager that lets you create several lists and check items off as you complete them.
Kodak EasyShare Gallery—"PC World" says Kodak's photo sharing service has cell-phone access options and no upload restrictions. I've been planning to check out this site, and now I've got more reasons.
Do any of the free goodies on the mag's list tempt you?
Our team is on it and we should have everything back to normal shortly. Please come back soon.
