It's one of Apple's smaller announcements for one of its smallest products, but iPod shuffles are now available in more hues than white and gray. The $79 player can be had in pink, green, and blue, too.
I'm wondering if this will make it more exciting to kids, most of whom I know show no interested in this 1GB/240 song wonder because it doesn't have a screen. But we older and wiser ones know the shuffle is great as an exercise companion.
If you've got a Valentine who needs some motivation to exercise through these winter months, Apple is offering free engraving and gift wrap on the shuffle and other iPods.
