The gals over at Gadget Candy attended a party last night where Philips and Swarovski unveiled the latest products of their "Active Crystal" collaboration. We often see gadgets encrusted with crystals, but it's rare to see a collaboration between two companies, that until now, had nothing in common. Thanks to the stylization of personal gear, Swarovski has become a household name among tech savvy young women.
To play it safe, Philips took the plunge by adding pizazz to their accessory line, embedding them with crystals in various cuts. They named their earbuds Space, Icon, and Amazone, and their over-the-ear counterpart Mirage. The most interesting design though, has to be Amazone which is a noise-isolating headphone in the shape of a necklace strong enough to hold a small MP3 of your liking.
They're all great, but my favorite accessory has to be the heart-shaped USB Memory pendants that can store up to 1GB of our favorite photos or music files. In non-techie speak, that means you can carry about 1,000 photos of your lover around your neck, or 250 romantic songs that remind you of him (or her). HeartWare, HeartBeat, Lock In and Lock Out will be coming to stores later this year, so for now you'll have to settle with regular USB drives to profess your unending love.
