We're exactly three weeks away from the much anticipated iPhone release. Have you thought about the type of protective cases you want for the mighty iPhone? As I was reading through iLounge's yearly iPodBook, I came across some fun accessories.
Here's just a handful of add-ons coming our way:
1. Belkin Armband: At the top of
my list is Belkin's sexy armband expected to be released in July. Made of washable material, this gorgeous armband highlights the iPhone's touchscreen by fully exposing the entire display for easy access. I love the side pocket big enough to hold a key or your earbuds.
2. Marware SportGrip Backwinder: Marware has a nice collection of iPhone cases, but I liked the SportGrip Backwinder because it has a rear cord management system that keeps your earbuds organized. The case itself is made of rubber, and includes a 360-degree rotating clip that turns the case into a tabletop stand.
3. Speck Toughskin Holster: Speck has some interesting cases lined up for the iPhone. Starting with the rubberized ToughSkins with Holster. The skin protects the phone from any scratches, while keeping it nice and slim when it's in your purse or pocket. You also have the option to use the unflattering belt clip for easy access, as well as a stand holster to watch videos. Cases with holster will retail for $30.
4. Griffin Elan Sleeve: Minimalists who prefer a more elegant look for their iPhone will be attracted to the Elan sleeve. Made of wheat or black full grain-leather, this sleeve comes with a removable armband and belt clip so you decide how you want to wear it. The screen is exposed, so they've included static covers as well as a microfiber chamois cloth to clean up your prints.
5. Power Support Crystal Film Set: Hmmm, sensitive touchscreen plus dirty fingers equals a mess. One way to keep your prints off the screen is by covering the display with a static-peel screen protector. Power Support's Crystal Film Set will retail for $15, but it'll keep the display smudge-free.

OLD IDEA.... new place. i have been living in Japan for the past 8 years.... and the cell phones here have always been at least 3-5 years ahead of any other country. the phones here have been able to play music for at least 2 years.... we have had a GPS for about a year and a half. the phones here are smaller cheaper and more fashionable. most phones even use an IC chip to pay for things. i wish there was more exchange of the techonology and more awareness of international inventions. because from the point of view here.... the i-phone is a the newest old style phone to come out. and my advice to Ms.Huges..... take a look to the East.... and see what is happening.... and compare. enjoy the i-dinosaur everyone.
This just in: Saying No to an iPhone Case . "Sure, the iphone will probably scuff and scratch , and get nasty fingerprints on it. Especially if you’re dropping it or carrying it in your pocket with your keys. But, unless you’re housing ultra-secret documents on your iphone and plan on smuggling it through a third-world airport checkpoint inside your anus, I’d forgo a stupid case."
gamibagu2k, I have to disagree with you about Japan having the latest widgets and gadgets; sure it is created there first. But where is the investments and firms sending the money to help develop these new phones come from, American Investors who get their greasy fingers all over it before you can.
I have one BIG word for you guys WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW yes in kno my vocabulary is very supreb the iphone is very cool. Apple is clever. Apple sees all. In addition to the obsolescence of DVDs, other technologies are also rapidly going the way of the buffalo. Of these, home-based TVs and plain old (wired) telephone service (or POTs) have a 90-100% market penetration, and, in the near future, mobiles devices will stop acting as supplementary devices to both of these old school technologies and start replacing them wholesale. Cell phones already completely replace POTs for the youngest consumers. Young people simply don’t subscribe to wired phones anymore. In a year or so, mobile TVs will join them in replacing the living room set for a generation raised on handheld screen-devices like GameBoys. The good news for Apple is that every American needs a phone and a TV. So although Apple will only say that they expect to sell 10 million iPhones in 2008, their consumer-base for handheld devices –the ‘third’ screen that cutting–edge marketers now drool over-- might well e-x-p-a-n-d from 48 million American iPods currently in circulation to as many as 350 million units, each selling at either $499 for a 4GB model or $599 for the 8GB. The new TV market will also get a big nudge in 2009 when all current, working analog TVs in America --yes, all 300, 000, 000 of them-- become garbage as the country shifts over to digital.
