Kensington just announced their new Ci Lifestyle collection designed to fit your lifestyle and environment. The company hired a San Francisco based design firm to help them capture style elements and functionality consumers want. The result was a stylish set of peripherals that take up less space, yet they provide the same function you find in bulkier devices. The collection is 35 percent thinner, feature back-up power options, and a sleep state for quick set-up. Kensington believes consumers want less clutter and complexity, and more style.

I reviewed the Ci70 desktop, which I thought complimented my sleek Macbook and Apple Cinema perfectly. Kensington sent me the Ci75m wireless notebook mouse too, which I'm using as I write this review. Again, I just installed the batteries, plugged the USB dongle, and I was ready to use it. There is no extra software or bulky manuals, which is always a good sign. When I lifted the colorful magnetic lid to install the batteries, I discovered it had a cord neatly stowed away inside. Since this collection is also for travelers, Kensington added a wired plug that connects into the USB wireless dongle for mobile users who may have restricted wireless access on a plane, or run out of batteries. It's a nice thought since you can't really depend on anything battery-powered.

You can switch the mouse on the Ci70 desktop set with any mice on the Ci Lifestyle collection—if you have enough USB ports that is. I was using both with no problem. I wished they all would dock on the Ci70 keyboard, but that's just something to think about.  It's great for notebooks, but those of you with a desktop will need USB extension cable, otherwise you'll have trouble using it.

All the mice are very stylish in their bold colors and designs. I was using the orange Ci75m mouse, but if I ever bought one it would be the Ci70LE in rouge with whimsical bubble design. It's absolutely gorgeous.

Overall, the mice are light, thin, and easy to use. They're also pretty cheap retailing under $40. If you're looking for a compact, stylish wireless mouse that's perfect for trendy lefties and righties, check this one out.

In your review of the Desktop set, you mentioned in the comments section that the mouse is starting to strain your fingers. "I've been using the flat mouse these past few days, and my hands are starting to feel a little strained since it lacks finger support. " How come that wasn't mentioned in this review? Did it have to do with Kensington providing the mouse to you for a review? Just curious, do companies send you products to review free of charge?

I have that red mouse with the bubbles and it workes perfectly with my laptop, unfortunely I broke the connector and now I need to buy a new mouse...but I'll still buy the same brand again! It works just fine for me
