Not all camera phones are equally made, some come with a built-in flash while others don't. This can be a real problem when you're trying to capture a moment indoors. Don't despair. If they left out this important feature in your phone, there is a gizmo out there called Phlash. This clever stick-on device provides a burst of light that brightens up to a meter in front of you. That may not be much, so you'll have to get close to your subjects to get a well lit photo. I like the fact that you can also hang it from your phone, or purse to keep it handy. What I don't like is that it's still a bit primitive, since it won't synch up with your camera. You basically still have to press the button while you shoot.
But what about printing those fabulous shots from your mobile phone? Beam your classic stills to the Fujifilm Pivi MP-70 mobile photo printer. This wireless pocket-sized printer is compatible with most cell phones that can send images via infrared. Images are developed on 3 x 2 cards at 254 dots per inch. It's so small it fits in the palm of your hand or your purse. If your love Hello Kitty, you'll love their pink version available exclusively in Asia. The good news is that you can find the Pivi MP-70 stateside.
If you want instant gratification, display your photos on a digital photo frame like Parrot's Photo Viewer. Your photos will be displayed instantly on a 3.5 inch LCD TFT screen at a maximum resolution of 320 x 234 pixels. I like the fact that it actually lets you transfer images via Bluetooth straight from your mobile phone, something I haven't seen before. It also stores up to 100 photos so everyone can enjoy a slide show of your latest adventures. This frame won't cramp your style either. It's available in white leaded oak or leather to match your home or office decor.Â
