Nowadays there's a GPS in everything. You can track how fast your kids drive, your buddy's whereabouts, your pets, toys, shoes, clothing, and gadgets among other things. I'm still waiting on a GPS tag I can stick to my keys, purse, and credit cards so I can track them online if I ever misplace them. Believe me, desperate times call for desperate measures. And while I fantasize about this tracking system for my personal belongings, I'm afraid I wouldn't buy it if it was available today—blame price and paranoia.
So what's a cheap and safe alternative?
ChickSpeak spotted a splendid and affordable gizmo that attaches to your key ring, so anytime you've misplaced those keys, you can simply start clapping or whistling to get a response. This "clap-on" Key Finder responds by beeping and flashing an LED light so you can find your keys even in the dark, and get on with your life. For under $10, this gizmo will save your behind someday, and remind you to get that second set of keys made, just in case.
Ah, so simple, yet so smart.
