With all the hype surrounding pricey smart phones, like the iPhone and LG Prada, it's clear that the luxury handset is in right now.
But now that the iPhone hype has subdued for the time being, we're all waiting to hear about the next big thing. Could it be another designer phone?Â
Riding on the designer coattails of the mega successful LG Prada phone is an upcoming Armani luxury handset rumored to be close to release in Europe. This information was confirmed by a Samsung spokesman who told the Korea Herald the company was working on a new Armani product line called 'IT luxury goods' that would include televisions and mobile phones. He also said the Armani phone would be launched in Europe this coming October. The article mentions the phone will include a unique user interface and feature exclusive content.
I'm so over designer phones I can't afford, yet I can't wait to see what this one will look like. What about you? Are you ready to see the Armani phone?

I find very sad that people would spend extra money on a phone simply because of a designer's name on it. It is pathetic how superficial many people in this world have become.

Well, it will be just another rectangular-shaped phone! With few technicalities. LG PRADA is not bad, although the touch screen is really amazing, but heck ditching such chunk of money just to have a sleek touch screen is worthless! LG PRADA is not a 3G phone, so you are loosing some essentials over looks. Now let's consider the hyped iPhone, what is the major advantage it got over LG PRADA?! NOTHING!! Again, we are gaining in features but loosing essentials! The world is heading to 4G standard now, and still some companies are not considering the 3G standard, why is that?! The electronic components are getting cheaper and cheaper, and technology is not expensive as well. For me, it's all marketing and creating some propaganda! But I do agree with you Gina that I want to know how it will look like, and what's in it as long as it's not another iPhone!
