I hope you're enjoying those Cinco de Mayo festivities, which just reminded me that I need to brush up on my Spanish before heading out to those sun-drenched Mexican beaches this Summer.

Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty fluent in Spanish, but like they say...use it or lose it.

So here are a few applications every iPod-owning linguaphile should know about:

  • iParrot Spanish is a translation tool for iPod owners that is helpful for those traveling abroad.
  • iLingo Euro Pack is a language translation application that covers six languages (French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian).

Have a safe Cinco de Mayo Holiday!

Or if you're heading East, try Chinesepod.com for a really neat teach Mandarin project. Someone's finally caught up with technology and doing language learning right.
