Surf the Web in any Position

One problem with lap desks is they don't usually keep your laptop very cool. Dory Devlin, our resident Techie Mom, tried the CushTop but her laptop got so hot, the CushTop produced a funny odor (called outgassing). That's a turn off, plus your laptop is supposed to be able to breathe, and setting it on top of a cushion just doesn't seem safe.

I've tried several lap desks myself, and settled on the iLap because it's easy to carry, and the design keeps the laptop raised to dissipate heat. But I think Gizmodo found the coolest adjustable aluminum laptop stand that allows you surf the web laying down or sitting up. Now that's how I like to surf!

The desk has adjustable legs that also rotate so you can fold them any way you want. The best part is the USB powered fans located under the desk to keep your lap and your laptop cool. It's seems a little bulky to use on a desk, but if you're sitting or laying down, this desk is perfect. You can find the fancy fan-powered desk, and others on Thanko's website starting at $66.50. What do you think? Do you like it?
