This week, everyone's been buzzing about the release of the third and final Halo video game. Ben Patterson has the scoop of what went down last night as fans flocked to gaming stores for a star-studded launching event. I heard even Ludacris came out at midnight to celebrate the release and even posed with fans of the Master Chief.

On a different note, Mimoco is also celebrating Halo 3 by releasing three USB flash drive/toy collectibles. The new Halo mimobot Series 1 features Master Chief Green, Red Spartan, and Blue Spartan in mimobot form pre-loaded with special Halo 3 content such as wallpapers, screensavers, and soundBytes to unpublished pages from the Marvel Halo comics, sections from the Halo 3 strategy guide, and excerpts from the upcoming Halo novel. Additionally, the in-game talk show “This Spartan Life” has provided Mimoco with an exclusive episode only available on the Halo mimobot Series 1. Only 6,000 Blue/Red Spartans, and 5,000 Master Chief Green mimobots will be sold as they are part of a limited edition series. They'll be available in 1GB, 2GB and 4GB capacities starting at $50. Mimoco is taking pre-orders now, since the actual release will be on October 18th at the All Expo in Los Angeles. Just one more thing to add to your Halo 3 collection.
