Your favorite gadget is...
I can't live without my BlackBerry. All my work gets done on it. It's also great to keep in contact with my family. If my mom wasn't able to get in touch with me at any given moment, I wouldn't have to worry about living. Ha!
You cover a lot of great stuff on the 5ive; what's the coolest gadget/web site ever highlighted on the show?
Hands down, the new Microsoft Surface computer. I had a chance to play around with it, and I fell in love with it. That computer is sexy!
How do you find content for the show?
We have a very strong production team at the 5ive. All of us like to stand out from the crowd, so if we're out and about or see commercials or wander upon a web site that's "hot," it's our duty to bring it to everyone. Also, we do a lot of research, and the viewers are very helpful by submitting their suggestions. It's easy to stay ahead of the game when you have a good team.
How did you land such a glam job?
I got this job through hard work and prayer =-). A little over a year ago, I entered the BET New Faces Talent search and was chosen as one of 10 finalists, so here I am! It's a very glamorous job, but that also means a lot of work, research, and long taping days. I wouldn't trade it for anything else!
What's your favorite thing about being the host to the 5ive?
I have so much fun at work that it feels like every day is a party! Honestly, from the development research, hair, and makeup to when I step on set, it's like a party. It's too good to not enjoy every moment with the whole team.
Biggest perk of being a host of the 5ive is...
I get a lot of gadgets for free because of the show, and get to test them before the rest of the world! I love this job!
What gadgets are making your Christmas list?
Honestly, just one... the Surface Computer.
What's on your holiday shopping list?
I'm going to get the Lenovo ThinkPad for my mom. I love the iPhone, so I'm glad I waited for the price to drop, because I plan to get one for my dad and brother.
Where do you spend most of your online time?
Probably checking my MySpace. I love to chat with my fans!
How do you personalize your gear?
I'm always upgrading my gadgets and worry about losing something, so I pass on the "bling."
How do you buy music?
I still buy CDs. I want the album covers, and I like to read the thank yous. It's something sweet about flipping through the CD booklet to see who did what.
How do you stay in touch with friends and family? Texts or phone calls?
I prefer phone calls. Sometimes texts can be misconstrued. Calling is also more direct. It seems like everyone shoots emails these days.
What are you currently working on?
I'm working on a lot of different projects right now surrounding the 5ive. I just finished a national radio tour and a spread for a few different magazines. Going forward, I want to make time to do charity work before I have to jump back into work. I'm also working on some acting projects. It's a very exciting time for me!

I didn't think much about the ability to recognize objects placed on it until I saw the video where a camera is placed on the table and the photos are displayed so they can be dragged into another person's cell phone. That got some neurons firing. It could be really handy for making electronic scrapbooks - the drag & drop interface could be very attractive in this size. If they combine device recognition and data transfer with battery charging, then our days of consciously syncing our devices might be over.
