Creative Zen's New Earphones

A few months ago, I wrote a post about how to "Prevent Tech-Related Hearing Loss," where I discussed how to avoid losing your hearing by turning the music down and trading those earbuds for noise-canceling or noise-isolation earphones.
Creative announced a new type of in-ear earphones called ZEN Aurvana featuring Aura Seal that blocks out up to 90% or 20 dB of ambient noises claiming to be twice as effective as noise-canceling earphones. Since you're not trying to hear over external noises around you, these noise-isolation earphones are a good way to help you turn the music down.
So far, they have been released in Singapore, and Pocket-lint expects UK availability in the next month, so I don't doubt they will make their way to the U.S. soon.
Creative fans looking for an semi-affordable set of Creative in-ear phones, can look forward to the glossy-black ZEN Aurvana earphones which retail for $99.
Compared to the Creative Etymotic ER-4P Micropro Earphones ($330) offered on the Creative website, that should be a steal. You can also see how they compare to the EP-630 and EP-635.
Since they are not available in the U.S. yet, I have not seen any reviews, but will update this post once I do.

I had the opportunity to try out the ear phones at the PC Show in Singapore and I must say that the sound is out of the world. The noise cancelling function also worked really well in a hall that was blasting with music from other booth. It's a bit expensive though ... it retails at SGD$235 in singapore.

doesnt the earphoneswires amplify sound when the wire touches clothes like u can here the rubbing against the clothes.

Wow! Expensive than mp3 player! It takes time for the product to become cheaper.

I have always found earbuds to be uncomfortable - especially if they are worn very long. I recently acquired a some Sennheiser PXC 300 Noise Cancelling Headphones as a more comfortable alternative. The sound is great and they are extremely comfortable even for extended wearing. Their noise cancelling feature is very effective and they can be found for around $160.
