Pantech's C300 Gets a Tiny Makeover

You've probably seen the Pantech C300 in Cingular stores around town and maybe even considered buying one for a loved one this Christmas. After all, this is supposed to be "the world's smallest camera flip phone." But the design is so retro, and the phone itself is far from being sexy. Aside from being a little dull, the Pantech C300 does include a VGA camera, supports email and texting, and is available through Cingular for $40 with a two-year contract.
I recently found out from the O.C. Gadgetress that fashion-conscious consumers are now able to purchase interchangeable faceplates for this tiny phone. That definitely got my interest, so I had to tell you, since I get so many emails about this phone. If you already own the Pantech, then you'll be happy to know you can change your phone's color to suit your mood. Faceplates are available in seven colors including pink, baby blue, red, and purple.
Does anyone else own the Pantech C300? How do you like it?

Would this phone be okay for a child to use? I want a cell phone but my dad is totally against it! Is the bill low? About how much a month?

I bought a Pantech C300 from a friend but it does not work with my carrier do you know a unlock code so that I am able to use this phone .

I have this phone I realy enjoy it. I have added a few games, screensavers and ringtones. the volume is good on the ringer and when in a call you turn up the volume with the side buttons. the only thing realy that im not pleased with is the speakerphone feature it is not very good at all. i was told about it from cingular before i bought the phone. actualy it is a really fun phone so It does not realy matter that the speakerphone feature is lousy. the calls sound very clear and have good clarity not sure why the speakerphone is the way it is hard to belive that it would be. the phone is built very well i thought it would bug me to have an anntena but that is no proplem at all and not in the way. Im on the go and tuck this phone in it's little leather case a really good case! and put it in my pocket, I admit to almost washing it thank god it rang before i turned on the water. another thing I have not figured out after searching if it holds e-mail addresses or mailng addresses and not just the name and phonenumbers. I have the cingular people transfer my addressbook and that info did not show up in my phone? i find it hard to belive that is dosent or im still figuring it out. anyway I realy like it it is packed with alot of features and suits my fine it is my buddy lol.
