A Huggable REi of Sunlight

I live in sunny California, but even I tend to get depressed when I'm too busy to go outside during the day. Some people even develop a disorder called S.A.D (seasonal affective disorder), which comes from the lack of exposure to natural sunlight. This disorder causes you sleep more, and/or turn to sweets when depression sets in. So until you head to the beach for spring break, let me introduce you a sunshiny alternative that will alter your mood year round.

It's called the REi (ray) Huggable pillow, a light emitting pillow created by design student Diana Yu-Ju Lin who wanted to capture the essence of sunlight by putting light into an object that's huggable and comforting. The pillow is furry on the outside and has LED lights embedded within silicone bubbles on the inside. It uses batteries and can be charged with an AC adapter. REi Huggable has gone from design concept to reality and are now available for pre-order, along with extra covers in white, pink, and gold.
