Fourth of July parties can be pretty standard. You grill some steaks, prepare a few mixed drinks, and enjoy some quality time with family and friends.

But what would Martha Stewart do to spice things up around here? Since Martha hasn't quite focused on gizmos and electronics yet, I figured I'd give you some tips on how to transform the usual 4th of July party into a fun all-American backyard experience.

These fun gadgets will take your party from ordinary to extraordinary:

  • Electric Marshmallow Toaster: This will provide endless hours of marshmallow roasting, and the kids will love it. It rotates three marshmallows at once for even melting. Love Smores? Check out the Smores Maker.

  • Hot Dog Roller and Bun: There are many of these in the market, but my favorite is the Nostalgia Electrics HDR-535 that cooks eight hot dogs at once. It just brings back memories of being a child at a carnival—and your kids will love it too.

  • Popcorn machine: Appease those hungry stomachs with some popcorn. A old-fashioned popcorn machine is always a big hit at any party. Get some popcorn bags, and plan a movie night after the steaks are gone.

  • Light-Up Ice Cubes: Everyone loves those tall glasses of ice tea, especially in this hot weather. Spruce up those drinks or punch bowl with multi-colored blinking cubes. They're great for any party, and very affordable.

  • Double Smoothee-Bar Blender: Two blenders are better than one. Mix margaritas on one and pina coladas on the other one. This will be a sure crowd pleaser.

  • Party Fridge: This rolling cylinder-shaped fridge holds 72-12 oz drinks or 36 wine bottles. The electrical fridge chills your beverages and is perfect for indoor or outdoor entertainment.

Have a great 4th of July weekend!
