End iPod Cable Tangles with Cordgo

I love my iPod, but what I hate is trying to manage the headphone cable that spews out of it. Invariably, when I fish it out of my pocket, the cords are tangled and knotted around the music player, and I regularly spend a few frustrating minutes trying to straighten everything out before I can start listening.

Until Apple includes retractable headset cables in its iPods, Cordgo offers the next best solution: a hand-cranked accessory that makes cable tangle a thing of the past.

Just pop open the Cordgo unit, attach your headphone cable to the clip inside, close it up, and twist. The cables retract to the length you desire. Twist the top to let the cords out when you want to listen. Twist the other way to pull them back in for storage. The Cordgo also has a clip if you want to attach it to your belt, but it's small enough to ride in a pocket, too. I've tried it out and works very well. Best of all, if you leave your headphones attached to your MP3 player while it's docked on your desk, it handily tidies up what used to be an unsightly mess.

Cordgo is currently selling two for ten bucks, not a bad price for such a useful piece of hardware, even if it is just a few pieces of plastic clipped together. Grab a couple today and see what you think: You'll soon wonder how you lived without it.

You forgot the most important tip - dont stand over the fireworks expecting to catch a firecracker (or M80) exploding on the ground, or a bottle rocket or roman candle as they launch.

Good article. I think I'll try some of this stuff with my A590IS. Another tip for those whose camera does not have those settings, if it is a Cannon, try the CHDK firmware. http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK It adds a ton of extra features including the ones mentioned in this article (rapid fire, long exposures, etc).
