Looks like Verizon Wireless is teeing up its first Motorola RIZR—and apparently, it'll work with the carrier's new V Cast Mobile TV service. According to Phone Scoop, documents detailing the RIZR Z6tv (which looks like a variant of the ROKR Z6m, a slider that debuted in March at CTIA) have appeared on the FCC's Web site, meaning the phone could see the light of day within the next several weeks.

If the FCC documents are correct, the RIZR Z6tv would be only the third phone in the U.S. that's compatible with Verizon V Cast Mobile TV—a service that offers about eight channels of streaming TV via Qualcomm's new MediaFlo network. Phone Scoop also reports that unlike the Mobile TV-compatible LG VX9400 and Samsung SCH-u620 (which are both already available through Verizon), the new Z6tv won't have an external antenna—nice. Otherwise, the slider comes with the usual features I'd expect in a multimedia phone, including a slot for microSD memory expansion, support for stereo Bluetooth headsets, and a two-megapixel camera. You'll also be able to sync the phone with your Windows Media Player music collection via the USB port. No official word yet on pricing or a release date.

There are a lot of other phones that support V Cast. I just bought a Razr V3m. It's a flip phone, no external antenna and comes with V Cast.

There is a difference between V Cast and V Cast TV. One supports the actually streaming of TV channels one just has streamable content but not actual TV.
