Spy Shots: Touch-Screen, TV-Ready LG enV?

If these fuzzy photos indeed show the real thing, we might have a touch-screen (and maybe even mobile TV-ready) update to the QWERTY-equipped enV clamshell in our future.

The Boy Genius Report got its hands on some tantalizing (and blurry, of course) snapshots of what's purported to be the LG VX10000—an update to the current VX9900, a.k.a. the enV music phone on Verizon Wireless. Like the original enV, the rumored VX10000 flips open to reveal a QWERTY keypad; however, when closed, you get a full-on touch-screen interface—potentially good for making calls or tapping out quick text messages (check out BGR's story for all the photos). Another item worth noting is the small TV-like icon at the top of the screen: it's the same icon that I've seen on Verizon's V Cast Mobile TV phones, which deliver about 10 channels of razor-sharp streaming video.

Of course, you should always take spy shots like these with a grain of salt; that said, these pictures look pretty legit, and from the near-finished look of the phone, we may be seeing the VX10000 (or whatever Verizon ends up calling it) within a matter of weeks.
