Verizon Bows Motorola RIZR TV Phone

After months of waiting, Verizon Wireless has finally raised the curtain on its latest V Cast Mobile TV phone: the Motorola RIZR Z6tv, a sleek slider phone that we first got word of way back in May.

The RIZR Z6tv will be Verizon's third V Cast Mobile TV phone, behind the Samsung U620 and the LG VX9400, and it'll mark the first phone on the Mobile TV serivce without an external antenna (a welcome change). This TV-enabled version of the RIZR first reared its head in May, when it cleared the FCC; at the time, I thought we'd see it arrive in Verizon's lineup within a few weeks, but apparently it got held up until now.

Besdes its V Cast Mobile TV abilities (which deliver about eight or nine channels of streaming video—not just the three-to-five minute clips available on the standard V Cast video service), the Z6tv serves up a music player, full-track music downloads, a two-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and a two-inch display for your videos (which you can watch in landscape mode). Look for the Z6tv to arrive on October 5 for $180 (with a two-year service agreement).

    Nice new phone for Verizon! I think the price point may be too high for a lot of people, but its got very good features and looks very nice too!

    Honestly it costs too much. I can admit it's a nice phone though. One day i will have it.

    diz fone is exactly lik da z3 rizr avalible on tmobile ok and diz 1 doeznt hav a flash lik da z3 rizr although itz goo dbcause u can watch full lenght videos but i have da phone and itz zloow it tAKEZ A LONG TIME TO TURN TO LANDSCAPE MODE itz a piece of ----- ok da 1zt week u get it itz awesome but aftyer that itz a piece of ----- oki i would reccommend dat u dont buy it instead buy da sansung sch-u470 ok itz awezome THIZ FONE IS A PIECE OF ----- !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
