The OQO has been around for a while, but this new version, the Model 2 Ultra, has some design improvements that are pretty slick. It weighs just a pound, has a slide out, illuminated thumb keyboard, and it looks amazing. It has a docking port so you can use it as your main computer at home or in the office if you like. It has Bluetooth built in so you can wirelessly hook up a keyboard and mouse. It has a 1.5GHz processor, 60GB hard disk drive, 1GB of RAM, and integrated Wi-Fi and EVDO (cellular broadband) connectivity. It's available now and has a base price of $1500.

That thing is better off running Windows 7. It'll be much faster and productive that way. Windows 7 is was Vista was supposed to be. Now if only I could get my hands on one of those and put the Windows 7 beta on it.

Vista is perfectly fine, just needs to be put on computers that aren't crappy. It's the same when windows XP came out, all the companies that make computers immediatly put it on every computer they made and it went slow as heck because the computer itself did not meet the minimum reqirments. So ya basicly that great deal $400 computer you wanna get.....it's crap build your own better computer for way less, and the new OS will work on it without going so slow you wanna throw it out the window.

That's the way to sell a product..."It's not working but it has a feature that if you drop it the computer will screem" Maybe that should have been left out if it's not working.

Nice little device. It's a shame to put Vista on it: Like letting a deranged pig drive your Lexus.

FIFTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS??? Remove the bloatware (Vista) saves $200. Use a faster processor, more RAM and forget Bluetooth, wired KB and mouse are just fine and do not require environmentally hazardout batteries. This is worth 750 tops, and that would be for a upgraded processor and more RAM. P.T. Barnum wisely observed: "There's a sucker born every minute." Companies that depend on rich suckers willing to over pay for underwhelming products are basing their business model on this fact.

If you don't like the OS you could probably put Ubuntu UNR on it have a pretty nice device. UNR is even lighter than WinXP and no security or virus issues to worry about. Lots of support for mobile device drivers both built in and in the support forums.
