We've certainly offered our share of advice on photo sharing sites on Yahoo! Tech, but I came across David Pogue's look at some top free photo sharing sites in the New York Times that is worth passing along.
Pogue zeroes in on Flickr and Shutterfly, the two I use; I like how easy Flickr makes sharing photos and how Shutterfly does not require recipients to register to view shared photos while making it easy to order the ones you want to print. And he also takes a look at the merits of Kodakgallery.com, which has nice sharing tools but doesn't allow your recipients to download the photos unless they buy into Kodak's $25-a-year plan. Pogue also highlights the easy-to-use tools on Picasa Web Albums, Photobucket, and Snapfish.
Meanwhile, Lifehacker points us to a Picasa2Flickr free download that allows you to upload photos on Picasa to Flickr with one click.
Check out Pogue's full piece, and the links below, then share the photo sharing options that work best for you below.

Hello, these are all sites I'll be checking out and investigating! Could you please also tell me how the free friend and family photo posting/sharing site called "Ringo" ranks? Thank you very much. katsue98@yahoo.com
I prefer PhotoWorks (www.photoworks.com) - they offer free photo sharing thru email AND give users a free web page to post and display photos on. The coolest feature is that users can post an online version of their photo books to their PhotoWorks share page too.
