Colorful Kettle Signals Perfect Temp for Tea

As the weather starts to turn cooler, I'll be drinking lots of tea while blogging. (Exciting, I know.) I've been known to put the kettle on and forget about it until nearly all of the water has boiled off. (The whistle broke awhile ago.) Could be why this Kenwood Response Kettle caught my eye on Gizmodo.

The exterior of the electric kettle turns from blue to red as it reaches the perfect temperature for tea. You can set it to stay at a certain temp, too.

Wouldn't you know, the Kenwood kettle is only available in the UK for £34.99. We like our tea hot on this side of the Pond, too, so it would be nice to see this make it stateside sometime soon.

I use the good old microwave to heat a cup, then let it steep after the micro 'whistles'.
