Verizon is actually doing something with customers in mind. If you want to change your contract—add more monthly minutes, or take some away—you can do it without signing on for another one-year or two-year contract.
The shift in policy takes places Oct. 7. Before then, any change to a service plan would require an extension before the two-year contract is up.
Seems like Verizon has figured out the best way to hold onto customers is to give them what they need and want, not hold them hostage from contract to contract.
Verizon also has been offering a free 30-day test drive of their services, allowing customers to take their phone numbers to other carriers within that period if they are not satisfied with coverage and service.
Now if Verizon would only do away with those pesky termination fees.
