Clearly, there is no shortage of social networks and blogs for moms who want to hear other mom voices, share experiences, get advice from each other, and comment on it all.
The bigger challenge for many of us is finding the time to spend on a favorite site to read our favorite writers and comment in between the everyday must-do's on a long work and family list. There are sites like Maya's Mom, where moms talk about being moms and their children, MomSpace, where you can get advice from each other on how to knock things off the to-do list (birthday parties, home repairs), and MothersClick to find area groups and get answers to parenting questions.
For working moms, and that is most of us, there's yet another social network worth your time and consideration as a place to stop in every day and recharge: WorkItMom.
There's a lot of great content on this site, and I love good content. WorkItMoms' co-founders, Nataly Kogan and Victoria Grace, have hired some widely read bloggers to contribute original posts to WorkItMom; they write about being entrepreneurs, working from home, managing money, even being a WorkItDad. WorkItMom also invites members to contribute articles, so there's a true mix of paid and user content.
Kogan and Grace are former venture capitalists, who, very interestingly, have turned down venture capital to run the site. They have accepted some angel funding, and were just accepted into the Martha Stewart ad network so you'll see more mom-targeted ads on the site.
"I want it to be two things," Kogan says of WorkItMom, "a community for working moms and a resource." She says a social network for working moms can and should be both because time is precious. So true.
Aware of our limited time, WorkItMom added a new feature that allows women to take stock of their day and moods by quickly answering five questions. It takes the pressure off for finding the time to blog, or journal, if a day is rushed.
If you haven't already, stop by WorkItMom and stay awhile. I promise it is worth our precious, limited me time. If you do, let us know what you think.

I love Work It, Mom! It's a great community of smart women who are committed to work and family. There is so much content and opportunities to connect and learn, you could spend forever on it. Susan at Working Moms Against Guilt http://www.workingmomsagainstguilt.com
