Amid Kodak's new line of cameras at CES is an HDTV dock, a small black box that allows you to easily connect cameras to watch videos and display photos. It's a simple $99 device that makes getting images on an HDTV screen easy and quickâbut have you seen what we mere mortals look like in high definition?
Every pore, every blemish shows up, taking your eye immediately off the big picture and zeroing in on the smallest, oh-so human details. That's why Kodak's new all-in-one ESP 3 printer comes with built-in Facial Retouch software that allows you to touch up facial features with one click. The results were impressive at a demo I saw at CES. If you're going to be displaying photos on sizable HDTV screens, this kind of feature is key.
Kodak is sticking with its lower-priced printer strategy, selling the ESP for $129. It will be available in the first half of this year.
