The wires, they are a multiplyin'.
Some days it seems as if wires are everywhere. Or we can't find the wires we need to charge an iPod, a phone, or a camera. Finding a place to charge the gadgets that make our days go 'round without creating an ugly mess on a kitchen counter is a daily challenge in many a home.
The Unclutterer blog is a great place to find ideas for getting and staying organized, and Lifehacker points to a gadget "gas station" it features as a home furnishing solution to this dilemma. Called the eNook, it attaches to a wall, and a fold-up shelf hides the gadgets as they recharge. It's 36 inches wide, 25 inches long, and 16 inches deep, and it'll cost you $400 for all of that organization, which requires installation, of course. There's also a choice of finishes and fabrics to coordinate with mudrooms or hallways—anywhere this boxy organizer won't clutter a wall.
Lifehacker offers a DIY charging station that can save you some dollars. Check it out, and let us know how you deal with all the wires snaking around counters and shelves in your home.

Not really earthquake safe or fire safe. Never put 'octopus' on the power outlet'.
