The Little Lexmark Printer That Could

It's strange to see a standalone printer with the ability to do things like burn CDs. Definately not something most of us are quite used to yet. The Lexmark P450 bypasses the PC connection to burn your photos onto a CD directly from your digital camera, memory cards or USB drives. I believe this is a great way to multi-task without bogging down your system with petty things like buring photo CDs.

Not only can it burn CDs, which is already quite the accomplishment, but it also hooks up to your TV to create slideshows. Aside from myself, I don't know many people who have a printer next to a TV, but the number could be high, nonetheless. It also has a tiny 2.4-inch color display so you can check out the photos before printing them. I say, if you're going to get a printer, get one that can do more than just print. It's available for $200, which is not than any other printer on the market. And it can burn CDs!! I'm amazed.

It sounds like it does a lot for a little price, but I would be reluctant to purchase another Lexmark product. We had a Z53 printer for four years. It advertised photo quality prints, not even close. Replacement cartridges were very expensive. We recently replaced it with an HP 3310 wireless fax/copier/printer/scanner - love it! HPs cartridges are much better and the print quality is exceptional. I hope they habve improved print quality.

Yes,I could go for a thing like that. I particularly like lexmark because they are easy to use and I have no problem with the print quality. I had a coupla HP printers and they are okay. But the software is hard to navigate. They don't print nice after you refill their cartridges. Don't even talk to me about Canon. I have nothing nice to say!! No, not even about their card board boxes!

On tuesday, 8 Aug.2006 I commented on the Canon printer. Well...abou t two weeks ago I bought a Pixma and it is a very nice printer as long as you keep it on windows Millenium. I was surprised, however, at the ease of use, print quality, plus usb and card reader, as long as you use it on windows millenium. So...why did I buy it? Two Reasons!! The sticker on it proclaims Vista Certified(software is for windows xp) and for #2...29 bucks! Is it worth it? Yeaah,as long as you use windows millenium! that's all
