We've all been there. It's Friday night, and you've invited some friends over to your humble abode for a margarita night, but you have no entertainment besides those lame board games, how can you lighten things up?
Most of us may be too cool to actually own that Debbie Gibson Leadsinger microphone thingie (although it looks pretty cool), but maybe this iPod karaoke station in disguise won't make us look too...self-absorbed in our divaness? Well, at least we hope it won't.
Thanks to the pocket-size CAVS IPS-11G and an iPod, frustrated singers can unleash their American Idol potential or provide live entertainment anywhere they go. The pocket-sized karaoke station acts as a bridge between any home audio-video system, and iPod as well as other USB devices.
I always wondered how people would sing-along to those karaoke albums on iTunes, or why anyone would want to download them, but after seeing this device, I can see how it can come in real handy for those living in small studios or dorm rooms.
The CAVS IPS-11G Karaoke Station (found via Engadget) has two microphone jacks, video/audio outputs, is compatible with most iPods, plays karaoke files (MCG-MP3), MPEG, AVI and MPG, as well as JPEGs and GIF photo formats for slideshows.
So does America have talent? I think you're about to find out.

The Creative Zen Aurvana earphones are like "nirvana for audio." Well the audio does sound good, but ...
