Nothing is free in this world, but occasionally we encounter a few freebies with no strings attached. This year, companies are feeling a bit generous towards Moms, making it easier for you to get in touch with her. Skype's Gift of Gab is offering 200 free minutes to U.S. customers so they're free to call Mom on her landline or cell phone, even if she doesn't have Skype. This is a good time to save money with Skype, instead of making long distance calls.

If you're a T-Mobile customer on a monthly plan, then you can take advantage of free messaging all day on Mother's Day. That includes sending IM, text, video and pictures all day long. To spice up your picture messages, the Stick Together Studio has a few goodies too like templates of colorful frames to use in your photos, as well as fun signs to send a message to Mom. Some of the pre-made signs have funny messages like "Don't worry-I'm wearing clean underwear" and "My room's clean I swear." It's a pretty original idea that'll put a smile on Mom's face.
