Charge Your Gadgets All At Once

An idea was floating around earlier this year that in the near future, we won't need to plug our gadgets in to be charged thanks to wireless charging stations. Chris says in his post about Powercast, the company that promises such technology, that it may be available before the end of the year. Marvelous! Imagine being able to charge all your gadgets without ever plugging them in. Say bye-bye to dead iPods, phones, or even remote controls.

It all sounds exciting, but until then, we'll just have to find the most practical way to charge all our gear. One charger I spotted recently is called the Chargepod. This six-way charging device lets you charge multiple gadgets with a single power cord. This means you don't need to run six different plugs to a single power strip. The idea is to pick out the manufacturer-specific adapter for each device in order to ditch unnecessary power cords. It uses a voltage regulator and interchangeable power adapters to charge up to six devices at the same time. Now you can charge your iPod, PDA, cell phone, headset, and DS Lite all at the same time.

I'm all for eliminating cords in the house, and this is a sure way to do it.

Its a nice product, but I dont think it will become a big seller, due to the cords are each $10. If the cords were more like $2-$5, then I think it would be fine, but when u add it up, it would be over 200 dollars, before tax. I'll stick to just using my power strip and my UPS to regulate all the power

Seems like they have a package that will include 6 adapters and the wall and car plug too for $99
