Summer is the time to look beautiful. There's so much going on. Weddings, graduations, proms, exotic vacations, and other events have you scrambling for beauty tips online. But thanks to an upcoming application from Japanese game maker Konami, your Nintendo DS is about to become your own personal beauty adviser.
Konami said they developed Dream Skin so you can look "pretty while having fun." The beauty navigation software (as they call it) includes video clips of Japanese beauty expert, Chizu Saeki, giving demonstrations on how to execute a good facial massage and other skin-checkup techniques. Players have to answer a series of questions about their skin tone, weight, daily body temperature, and exposure to sunlight before the software can offer personalized advice.
Once it gathers this information, it displays daily beauty tips on how to keep your skin healthy, as well as what food will keep your skin looking great. I mean, who knew "hormonal balance is key for avoiding wrinkles and age spots?" Ok, maybe I need to brush up on my beauty tips reading. According to Reuters, the software will go on sale in Japan this Fall for about 4,500 Yen ($36.60). I'm sure this will eventually make its way to the U.S. I just wonder, who will be our American beauty expert?
