Levi's is really trying to attract the technosexual crowd (Generation TXT?) by dipping its jeanswear in the techie pool. It's added some flair to its jeans with iPod controls, installed Intellifit scanners in stores that take your body measurements, and most recently, it created a self-branded phone.
Since Europeans won't be getting their hands on the iPhone anytime soon, maybe they'll take some interest in the jean-inspired Levi's phone. Created by Modelabs, the phone features fun stylings that would complement jean fashion such as riveted steel casing and a detachable chain that affixes to bags or jeans. The press release is a bit vague, but it does mention music enjoyment, image exchange, and video functionality.
Apparently, the phone will be available in silver, black, and brown copper for the boys, while a more feminine version in shiny silver and shiny sand will feature a mirror screen, much like the Shine handset.
All the details are yet to be revealed, but rumor on the street is the phone will be launched throughout Europe this September, just in time for Back to School shopping. Stay tuned.
