I'm not sure if it's just a slow week in tech news or Japan is prepping for the holidays, but this week I've seen several fun gadgets across the blogosphere that will never make it into our hands. I've abstained from writing about Japanese gadgets because I hate to tease you with something you can't buy. But today, I'm making an exception hoping this one might actually make it past Japanese borders and into Sony Style stores.
Digital World Tokyo spotted the trendy looking Sony's Walkman Abiste E010 music player in blue, gold, pink, violet, and black due out in September. What makes these players stand out from the crowd are the added touches of Swarovski crystals covering the USB cover, and a fashionable lanyard with a bejeweled clip that attaches to a woman's bag or jeans. The player specs are similar to other lipstick-shaped E-Series Walkman players that feature flash memory in 1GB to 4GB capacities, and a tiny LCD window that displays track information. Whether they make it to the U.S. or not is anybody's guess, but if you currently own one of these players, adding a few crystals to the cap suddenly seems like a good idea.
