Baby Phat Phones Aim a Little Lower This Time

The Baby Phat i833 designer phone was on the scene way before Prada or Dolce & Gabbana handsets were coveted by women everywhere. One thing I remember about the first limited edition Baby Phat phones a couple of years ago was how the outside of the external display was accented with 0.4 carats of genuine diamonds. The exclusive diamond encrusted designer mobile phone was one of the most sought after phones then, but the $700 price tag discouraged many young admirers from buying one (and here I thought the iPhone was expensive).

Back then Kimora's Baby Phat phone was a customized version of the Motorola i830, which is a lot bulkier than the current Motorola phones she's chosen to "Baby Phy" this time around. Darla Mack points out that unlocked versions of the RAZR V3 and SLVR L7 are all glammed up in pink, and cost a lot less than the diamond-encrusted models. The limited edition phone package includes free stuff like phone charms, lip gloss, carrying clutch, and are loaded with Baby Phat wallpapers to boot. I'm not sure that justifies the "lower" $400 pricetag for me since I already own both, but then again maybe you're a bigger Baby Phat fan than I am.
