Madonna and Paris Hilton are not the only Divas who can publish a book anymore. Blurb has finally gone live with their BookSmart beta software making book publishing easy for folks like us. I created a photobook for Mother's Day using iPhoto on a Mac, and it turned out great.
What I like about Blurb is the option to create text books as well as photobooks. Look out for their new software options to publish text only books, poetry and blog content. I'm interested in the Blurb Blog software which "slurps" your blog content for book publication. And since most of you have ditched the pen and paper low-tech method of jotting down your personal thoughts, this makes it a perfect way to preserve those online diaries. Wouldn't it be fun to read your personal blog ten years from now?
I just downloaded the software, which is available for PC or Mac. The software is free to use, and you only pay if you publish. I've always wanted to create my own books, and I am totally praising the photobook idea because all my old photos are just sitting in shoeboxes. A 400-page hardcover book with a custom dust jacket will cost you around $79.95, but a coffee table book with all your memories inside is priceless.
How are you preserving your memories?

thomasv2008: Yes, you download the software. Then you design the book using their templates, and when you're satisfied with the results you can publish it.
so download= design= upload to their server and if satisfied with the results you can publish it. My question is does it require a software to view the book? like a PDF viewer or something. I think we can only publish on their site as they may convert the book into a GIF or a flash. **
I looked at the Samsung LN-S4051D 40 inch LCD, as one in a series of Samsung LCD models. The entire ...

So you download the software, design your book, then upload it to there servers and they publish it for you? That sounds great!
