iPhone Widgets Galore

I got an iPhone yesterday after the $200 price drop, and have been searching for new widgets to add. Ben and I wrote posts about third-party applications for the iPhone a couple of months ago, but I've been searching for sites that actually list all the new applications already available. I'm happy to report I found two so far (feel free to list others in the comments section).

One of them is called Mod My Phone, which just compiled a long list of native iPhone applications, and the other one is iPhone Application List. Both sites do a great job at picking up on the latest widgets, since Apple doesn't seem to be doing so. I wish Apple had one-click installs, but until then, you'll have to read the instructions carefully before installing these widgets on your phone. Here are some strange widgets, and some handy ones too:

• Ovulation Calendar: Trying to get pregnant? This widget computes your monthly cycle.
• Books: Turns your iPhone into an eReader.
• Tip Calculator: Always comes in handy.
• IM + Skype: Enables voice and text communication with other Skype users.
• iFlash Cards: Need to study for a test? Try this flashcard application.
• Light: Use your iPhone as a flashlight.
• MobileRSS: RSS feeds on your iPhone. Groovy.
• Zune2: iPhone game lets you shoot missiles at the Zune. For Zune haters.
