Typepad on Your iPhone

If you're an iPhone owner who happens to have a Typepad account, then you're in luck because Typepad just launched an iPhone-optimized interface for Typepad bloggers. You can access the interface at http://i.typepad.com, so make sure you bookmark it. Here you can edit and create posts, manage comments, configure mobile settings to post photos, and view your published blog. It's actually a sweet interface, and very easy to use.

Since I got an iPhone, and a Typepad account, I decided to try it out. Once you login to your account, you'll see four icons: Create Post, Manage Comments, Manage Posts, and Mobile Settings. Clicking on any of the first three icons, takes you to a page that contains individual tabs for New Posts, Comments, and Posts. It's nice to have this main page to manage your account, and not have to go to the "Home" page everytime you want to switch between screens.

Since I'm still getting used to the iPhone's tap-based keyboard, I found it pretty hard to write a complete post. I think it will take a lot of patience and determination for bloggers to actually use the interface to blog from their iPhone, but I'm sure many will do it anyway. I love being able to manage my Typepad account from my iPhone anytime, anyplace; therefore I give this application two thumbs up. Now I just have to practice my tap-tap typing on this thing.
