If you're thinking about getting an iPod shuffle, more specifically a pink one, check out your local Target store. Many blogs are reporting sightings of a Special Edition iPod shuffle that will benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, whose mission is to achieve prevention and find a cure for breast cancer. In what appears to be a good deal for iPod lovers, the 1GB iPod Shuffle is bundled with a $15 iTunes card. The package retails for $79 with a portion of the sale going towards TBCRF. A total of $25,000 will be donated to the organization.
It's not very clear whether Apple and Target are working together on this deal, or if Target is solely responsible for the bundle. My guess is Target is not only helping a good cause here but is getting rid of pink iPod shuffles that aren't sold through Apple anymore. Apple Insider says a Target representative said its stores began offering the special iPod bundle to shoppers over two weeks ago. If you're in the market for a pink iPod, now's your chance to get one for a good cause.
