I'm really bad at making shopping lists and too cheap too buy the awesome SmartShopper, so I stick to Post-its on the fridge or just hope I remember what I need when I'm walking down the grocery aisle. Sound familiar? Steve Rubel of Micro Persuasionjust gave me a better idea: create a visual to-do list with your cameraphone.
Obviously, you'll need a cell phone with a camera, so if you have this you're on your way. Using your cameraphone, simply take pictures of empty containers to remind yourself of what you need the next time you head to the store. His idea of creating a visual to-do list this way is a little more involved, since he actually emails his pictures to his Flickr account, but if you only need a few things this is perfect. You can actually use this method to remind yourself of other little things like the name of that great wine you tasted last week or the gadget your significant other really, really wants for Christmas. Lifehacker's Gina Trapani mentions a few other ideas on her blog. Who knew creating to-do lists could actually be fun?
What do you think about the visual to-do list?

That's a pretty good idea! I've never thought about that.
