The iPod Shuffle is a jewelry designer's dream due to its itty-bitty size, and the fact that you can clip one anywhere on your clothes. It's been covered in diamonds and made into a $40,000 necklace before, and another $10,000 buys you a custom case for it dipped in solid gold. Not exactly the type of customization the average person could afford, is it?

But good things are not always beyond reach. If you're looking for a unique gift for that special someone, you might like the customized iPod Shuffle by European jeweler John Harrington. To keep things simple, he simply had his signature 'Renaissance' motif etched along one side of the player, then set with five diamonds to create what he calls the "ultimate fashion accessory." The player is also available in pink, if silver is not your color. It all retails for £300 ($600), which is still way more affordable than $10,000.
