Cell phones today go beyond making calls, playing music, videos, taking photos, and accessing the web. The race is on between manufacturers as they strive to create the smallest, most feature-heavy handset; and just when you thought they possibly couldn't pack any more gimmicky features on such tiny handsets, here comes Japan's scented phones.
Inventor Spot says Sony Ericsson's DoCoMo SO703i has all the features tech-savvy consumers need such as GPS, TV, and music player functions, but the novelty selling feature on this phone is actually its scent. A scented strip is located near the central hinge of the SO703i that gives off the smell of your choice. There are over 11 scents to choose from including Apple Pie, and since the scented strip is removable, it can be replaced after three months so you can try other smells.
As far as looks, there are over nine beautiful colors and styles to choose from including Exotic, Marble, Twilight, and Gorgeous. What do you think? Is this scratch 'n sniff feature something you'd even consider?

Not interested - I need my phone to be an appliance, not an environment. They do look very nice however.
