Do you ever feel like your computer is haunted? Unfortunately, that's always a sure sign that your computer has been exposed to malicious software. You could run a series of antivirus and spyware software, but if you need a little help from professionals, mark this day on your calendar.
On October 31st, one company is setting out on a ghost busting mission casting out evil spirits lurking in your hard drive. Since I do get the occasional email from readers regarding Internet security, I thought you might like to know CyberDefender is offering a day of free technical support to help PC users search for and destroy any zombies, botnets, viruses, and other malware lurking inside their computers. This is a special one day offer open to anyone, that will start running on October 31st until 9 AM PST the next day.
Since we don't always have a techie friend at hand, it'll be nice to have the folks over at CyberDefender run a remote scan to repair any damage done to your computer. The service will be available to any home or office user who calls (877) 377-3765. You can expect services that repair malware damage, speed up system performance, or even make sure your other security software is working properly. This service normally costs anywhere between $50 to $100, but since it's Halloween, they'll be offering it free as they promote Premium Tech Support services. Yes, that's the catch. You don't have to sign up, but they'll obviously try to make you a customer.
The company currently offers free 24-hour technical support only to customers who bought the CyberDefender Complete or Ultimate security packages that sell for $59 and $99, respectively. Like I said, if you or someone you know needs a little help, try out this one day offer, then come back to tell us about your experience.

Is anyone else out there having fun with System Mechanic Pro 7 and their latest upgrade? A friend had to dump System Mechanic Pro 7 or his system would not work. Now running Norton from Rogers. Anybody else have that problem. On my System had to remove the earlier version of SysPro7 before installing update or system would not run.
