You might remember that back in March, the U.S. Postal Service kicked off the Star Wars celebration by dressing up 400 mail collection boxes as the beloved R2-D2. Unfortunately, if you missed Artoo on the streets you're out of luck, since earlier this month he was finally moved to military bases overseas. The good news is the United States Postal Service (USPS) will continue the Star Wars celebration by featuring special stamps all the way until 2008.
This holiday season, Jedi Master Yoda could be gracing the front of your mail since fans chose him as the Star Wars character they wanted to see featured on an individual stamp sheet. The stamp was originally released as part of Star Wars package that included 15 images from the movie, and unveiled back in May as part of a dedicated Star Wars celebration in Los Angeles that coincided with the film's 30th anniversary.
Lucky for us, the Yoda stamp sheet went on sale last week, and will be available until October 25, 2008, so you have plenty of time to get yours. But if you want to collect all 15 stamps, you have until May 25, 2008 to do so.
