Clip-on...Earphones?

Love it or hate it?

There have been many crossovers between fashion and technology. Take for example the Swapsets concept. The idea is to integrate a headset or earphones into a fashionable fabric headband women wear to pull their hair back. They can also add dangles to it, or choose a different fabric to match their outfit. It's a great idea for the fashion conscious divas.

Korea's Aving News has discovered another fashion tech-accessory that has left me cold. Why? Because I can't handle clip-on earrings. They give me headaches, but it may be a great idea for those of you who have managed to overcome the clip-on earring pain.  Earmecca is responsible for such a brave move in earphone fashion. The EP series earring-earphones have an adjustable clip right below the colorful earphone, and the clips are available in ten different designs such as stars, crosses, hearts and pearls.

Sorry gals, they appear to be only available in Korea at the moment, but rest assured these earrings will eventually make their way to the States.

So what do you think? Do you love it or hate?

Well, for years my co-workers have threated to have a phone implanted in my ear, so they would finally get their wish! But where is the speaker?

1 Posted by anthonydesu on Thu Aug 10, 2006 4:00AM EDT Report Abuse Interesting idea until you snag the cord on something and rip your ear off. If you are a careful lady, it might work, but if you are very active or somewhat clumbsy, it might be a bad idea. It kind of reminds me of those earphone that hook around the ear. A little less painful, I think, but I think the snagging idea is the same. I almost ripped an ear off with those once.

I hate it. It looks ugly even if it was in pink.

Hey it is a great idea. They just aren't for me. I think many people can enjoy them. I may try them one day. Nice Idea!

While I think they are on to something, it's not the greatest thing. I have trouble keeping the headphone in my ears and they are uncomfortable. But I don't think I'd buy earphones with earings. I'd buy more comfortable earphones that stay on better. They'll have the best luck with teenagers.

how about this for an idea....Earrings, independent from earphones, thus giving you the freedom to wear any earring you want with any outfit, which lets you be fashion forward....now, how good are those ears gonna look when you take out the earphones and no longer have earrings on??? yeaa...bet you didnt think of that one...you can barely see earphones anyways wouldn't you rather it stay that way rather than accent them with earrings???

I'm not sure what I think about them, but I think they look pretty cool, especially since the clip would help the phone stay in the ear. They DO look a bit like fashionable hearing aids, but I guess headphones look like that anyway a bit.

They look awesome! My ears are so small that wearing ear buds gives me huge headaches. They look great, hopefully they are safe.

Personally, I think they are really ugly and I would not but them. I dont hate them or love them. But I will NOT purchase them, ick.

Eww, I honestly don't agree. People obviously get their ears peirced for some reason or another and clip ons make your head hurt.

They would be even more awesome if they could be made cordless.
