Electronics recycling has always been a major concern for environmentalists. Sadly, the issue doesn't get as much attention as it should, unless of course we're celebrating Earth Day. Fortunately, there are people such as waste management engineer Nicola Harper of Alberta, Canada, who spends a good part of her weekends digging through landfills in search of electronic waste she can turn into into eco-friendly gifts.
Recently, Nicola set up an online shop where she now sells her geekware and even started a blog detailing her adventures as a crafty recycler. You can find her geekware over at Acorn Studios, where you'll spot chic keyboard accessories such as bobby pins, cuff links, pins, and rings, as well as circuit board decorations that include card holders, photo albums, clocks, and earrings.
She's even designed these cute circuit board Christmas ornaments in the shape of a star, a bell, and a tree to help you decorate the tree this year. What a great way to recycle your old gear! But if you don't have time to get crafty, then make sure you still recycle those old electronics.

I've used an old 386 memory stick as a key-fob. People always want to know where I got it.
