How do you turn an ordinary handset into something more glam? Samsung knows how, which may be why these days some of its phones are being endorsed by high-profile celebrities such as Beyonce or upscale designers such as Armani. The latest handset to get a flashy designer makeover is the Samsung Z240, now covered in bright ruby-red paint and emblazoned with Vittorio & Lucchino logos. Those in the know probably recognize these popular designers.
The phone itself is really nothing spectacular, apart from the red-hot design. Softpedia says the slim 3G mobile includes a 1.3-megapixel camera, an MP3 player, a video recorder/player, Bluetooth, and 58MB of internal memory, along with an extra microSD slot. To get one, you'll have to fly to Spain, where they will available through Orange starting Dec. 1, 2007, for the small price of 59 Euros.
I think it looks great and much better than it would look sans the paint, but what's your take? Would you want this phone to be available in America?
