If you're a woman, you've probably been invited to an Avon, Pampered Chef, or Passion party before. They're actually a great way to shop and hang out with the girls while you sip wine and enjoy tasty hors d'oeuvres. But the ladies in Phoenix, Ariz., are replacing the Tupperware parties with something a lot more shocking: taser parties.
Lynne Rigberg hosted what seems to be one of the first "taser parties" ever. She even invited an off-duty law enforcement officer, who demoed the nonlethal weapon to her friends. Afterward, the ladies were allowed to look and handle the devices, which are available in pink, blue, and other colors. The strangest thing was that a news crew was on the scene to capture the event that now has people everywhere scratching their heads.
I have a feeling this won't be the last taser party we hear about, since metallic pink taser guns are all the rage. Ms. Rigberg seems to think taser guns "make you more confident" in certain situations where you might be uncomfortable.
I know it's crazy, but I'd love to attend a taser party myself, so if any of you Bay Area ladies decides to host one, send me an invite.
Ladies, what's your take here? Would you host or attend a taser party for all your friends? Let me know in the comments.

If many responsible citizens had Tasers available the world would be a much safer place. If VA Tech students had Taser C2's, perhaps they could have disarmed the madman and prevented numerous deaths. I don't want a lot of untrained people with guns, too many bystanders will be hurt or killed but a Taser has never killed anyone. Abuse can be committed with many items and abuse should be punished but Taser C2's would make the world a much safer plac.
Well o2cmefly, I really wouldn't be worried about the taser killing someone I was shooting it at, considering the obviously did something to provoke the shot. I was simply pointing out the fact that they do, in fact, cause a few deaths. If I was worried about that I wouldn't have mentioned a .357.
A Taser party? Weird. Yeah, sounds like regular guns would be a safer bet. Still, it's an interesting idea.
dcsoccer25 has sold short taser stock and is trying to discredit taser stun guns. You got shot with the taser gun and you were not affected? Ha ha you make me laugh. I'll shoot you with my taser and you will be yelling like a 6th grader girl you liar.

I'm a guy but I think Taser Partys are a good idea. Anything that helps a person defend themselves is good, especially in today's environment. Old Jarhead.
