Robert Verdi is a self-made machine. He’s got his hands in everything! He’s a Jersey boy-cum-jewelry designer-cum-television host-cum-lifestyle expert-cum-rising superstar. Design denizens adore his keen eye for color, homemakers hail his quick fixes, and fashion experts cling to the edge of their front row seat during fashion shows anticipating his kiss of couture death or delight. You may recognize Verdi from movies like "The Devil Wears Prada," and fashion shows like "Fashion Police" and "Surprise by Design." Being that he's probably the biggest trendsetter in the glitzy world of Hollywood, and one that A-listers turn to for advice, I had to ask the man of style what his favorite gadgets are. Here's what he had to say...
What gadgets are on your Christmas list?
Whichever iPod comes out on December 24 is the one I want to receive on December 25. I want the newest, the greatest, and the latest!
What are three gadgets you currently love and can't live without?
My Plantronics Calisto Pro headset system. It's a home phone that allows me to stay connected and hands-free on a landline or mobile, so I can continue trying to take over the world.
My LG enV phone. It's the easiest phone to text from.
My iPod and Klipsch iPod/MP3 speakers. It's the closest thing I have to a boyfriend right now.
What's the most extravagant gadget you ever bought?
Well, it's not really a gadget, it's the 103-inch plasma by Panasonic.
Where do you spend most of your online time?
Besides emails, I'm obsessed with self-diagnosis, so I frequent www.medicinenet.com.
Have you ever "blinged out" or personalized your gadgets?
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that bling. I had bling before I had gadgets.
What's the geekiest thing about you?
Tetris is as geeky as I get, and I also had a crush on the Six Million Dollar Man. I've also been known to watch marathons of "Twilight Zone" when I am on the road... does that count?
Mac or PC?
Mac, of course. Style, design, grace. Need I say more?
CDs or downloaded music?
Both, I like spending money.
Texting or phone calls?
Depends on who I am avoiding.
What are you currently working on?
Building my own network and taking over the world!
