I have to agree with Noon when the company says, "The more we can integrate solar power into our daily lives, the faster we can move away from our dependence on nonrenewable sources." In the past two years, I've seen an increase of solar-powered gadgets and accessories, including solar swimsuits, handbags, and beach totes. Most of the designs are not always practical, but we're definitely moving in the right direction.
Geeksugar spotted two very chic solar totes designed by Noon called Cortland and Willow. The outside of both bags are lined with flexible solar panels to harness the power of the sun, and they include an iPod cable and four USB phone adapters to charge your gadgets on the go. You can fully charge the included battery box by placing the bag toward the sun when you're at a cafe, at work, on the train, or in the car. The battery is fully charged in 6 to 8 hours, so you'll never have a dead iPod or phone ever again.
These beautiful bags are available in chocolate or black, as well as in suede or leather to complement your style. They each have a large pocket outside and two interior pockets to hold gadgets when they're charging. The solar panels are completely weatherproof, and materials are biodegradable, so you don't have to feel too guilty about buying such an expensive tote bag. How expensive? Well, let's just say being eco-friendly doesn't always come cheap.
